Practice:
Students are required to practice 5 days per week.
Practice will be from the method book as well as rhythm sheets and sheet music.
 

Expenses:
Students selecting the Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, or Percussion will need to rent or purchase their instrument. The instrument selection night will be on Friday, August 22nd from 5:00-7:30PM in the CK8 Band Room.  The instrument rental and supply list needed for all students is in the "Members" area of this website.
Students selecting the Bass Clarinet, F Horn, Baritone, or Tuba will need to purchase their own mouthpiece for that instrument and will use a school instrument. Care, maintenance, damage, or loss is the responsibility of the user. The instrument must be returned clean and in good working condition. There is an instrument rental fee of $300 per year.  All payments will be made through MySchoolBucks  

Additionally, reed players will have the expense of their reeds. You are required to always have at least four good reeds, and they are to be kept in a reed guard to protect them from damage.

Assignments, tests, and quizzes will be done through Canvas.
Band Uniform – the Band polo ($20 through the Band) and jeans.
 

Performances:
Performances throughout the school year are required. The Beginner Band typically performs in October, a winter concert in December, and the Final Concert in May. Attire for these performances is the Band uniform.
